- Proxy for total dissolved salts in the nutrient solution (mS/cm).
- NFT
- Thin film of solution flowing through a sloped channel.
- nutrient solution
- Water + dissolved macro and micronutrients.
- pH
- Hydroponics target band: 5.5–6.5.
- photoperiod
- Hours of light per 24h cycle.
- PPFD
- Instant light intensity (μmol/m²/s).
- PPM
- EC converted via a fixed scale (500 or 700).
- reservoir
- Tank holding the nutrient solution.
- VPD
- Air dryness as plants experience it (kPa).
